Mark Unwin
Company Director
Mark Unwin, born in Guildford, Surrey in 1963
and educated locally, I have always strived to achieve the very best in
everything that I do! After leaving school I worked in retail for a while
and then discovered the Estate Agency profession. I entered the business
with Bairstow Eves in 1985, as a trainee and quickly established myself
within a very successful team. After 3 continual years I moved on to their
sister company, Mann & Co, where I then progressed through the ranks. After
15 years I then decided it was time for a change! After many years of visiting
the island with my wife Hayran, I realised that there was an opening for
a qualified and professional estate agent here. So in September 1999, we
'set sail' for Northern Cyprus where our story really starts. Our first
office opened in December 1999, with limited expectations, but we soon surprised
ourselves and started selling a lot faster than any one expected. The market
then seemed to rapidly take off and we have not looked back since. Between
my wife, our staff and myself we believe we have created a comfortable and
easy way for overseas buyers to buy a part of this Mediterranean back water!
Now the market place has dramatically increased we unveiled our flagship
office in the centre of Girne, where we can offer our clients an even better
service. I have found that my experience has helped create and shape the
housing market in Northern Cyprus and to be an integral part is both exciting
and challenging.
