My name is Peter, I am 32 years old and my story is a little different from most others as I had never been to Northern Cyprus before I moved here nearly 4 years ago!

Born in 1974, I was brought up in Redhill, Surrey, were I enjoyed a good education and a
fun childhood. Having worked in sales since leaving full time education in 1992, I found myself living in Guildford between late 1999 and 2001 where I was manager of a large French oak furniture outlet. This is when I met Mark Unwin (born and bred in Guildford) & his wife Hayran whilst they were on a return trip to the UK. They told me of their adventure so far, and their future ambitions, in Northern Cyprus… and I very much wanted to be a part of it!

So after lots of e-mailing back & forth, between Mark & myself, I arranged a week to visit the island. I fell in love with the place, and my mind was made up from the moment I walked of the plane. The natural beauty the island has to offer, the friendliness of the local community, and obviously the fact that the sun shines for 3 quarters of the year proved just too much to resist.

I was also extremely impressed with the Unwins business set-up and could see the potential for the company to go far, so after spending the week exploring the island, and working with Unwins, I returned to the UK for a reality check. It didn't take long before I was on the phone to Mark accepting the position of Sales Negotiator and 4 weeks later I was living, working and playing in Northern Cyprus. The rest as they say… is history!

Since then my private and business life could not have been better. I met my Fiancé, Vashti, 4 years ago and we tied the knot on the 10th September 2005 at the beautiful “Ambiance” Restaurant in front of 150 friends and family. On the 1st June 2006 my wife gave birth to our gorgeous son Kyan... the centre of my world. I have progressed from Sales Negotiator to Marketing Manager and I am really enjoying the challenge of becoming a complete success. As well as managing the Head Office team, I am still actively involved in sales negotiations, staff training and, ofcourse, advertising…. amongst other things!!!!

Who knows what the future has to offer? But one thing is for sure… I am very much looking forward to finding out!
